We’re on a shared journey with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
people to greater strength and prosperity.
Our goal is to deliver services in a way that celebrates culture and creates opportunities for Mob.
We’re proud to employ nearly 300 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander team members, so that we can offer a culturally tailored service.
We offer everything from help around the home, to social activities, qualified nursing and gardening.
We’re so proud to be able to offer culturally safe care services to First Nations people. We asked our team what it meant to them – here’s what they had to say.
We recognise and understand the important connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to their community, culture and country.
At Australian Unity, reconciliation matters to us. Our Reconciliation Action Plan outlines how we are playing our part.
We support our clients to take part in local community events and activities. We also host regular Yarn Ups and celebrations to mark national events such as NAIDOC Week, Reconciliation Week and Sorry Day.
Our Aboriginal home care services provides culturally appropriate home and community services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people throughout New South Wales and in some parts of Queensland and Victoria.
