1. Please note in relation to meetings that:
a) attendance at a meeting of members of Australian Unity enables you to:
i) participate in the governance of Australian Unity;
ii) ask questions about, and comment on, the management of Australian Unity, its financial standing and performance;
iii) ask the auditor of Australian Unity questions about the conduct of the audit of Australian Unity and the preparation and content of the auditor’s report; and
iv) If your type of membership permits, vote on the resolutions put to the General Meeting.
b) notices of meetings inform you about matters in relation to which you may wish to attend a meeting;
c) if you are entitled to attend, and cast a vote at a meeting you may appoint a proxy to attend and vote for you at the meeting;
2. Please note in relation to annual reports that:
a) the annual financial reports of Australian Unity each set out information about:
i) the financial position and performance of Australian Unity;
ii) the efficiency with which Australian Unity is being managed; and
iii) the financial risks to which Australian Unity is exposed;
b) if you do not elect to receive the annual financial reports, Australian Unity is not required to send copies of the annual financial reports to you; and
c) despite you electing not to receive the annual financial reports or not making an election, you may elect to receive the annual financial reports.
3. Member’s Guarantee: Each Non Shareholder Member undertakes to contribute an amount not exceeding $1 to the property of the Company in the event of the Company being wound up while they are a Member or within 1 year afterwards.
