Australian Unity Health Limited appoints new CEO

Member owned wellbeing company Australian Unity announced today the appointment of Rebecca Windsor as CEO and Executive General Manager (EGM) of its private health insurance business.

Ms Windsor has more than 20 years of experience working across financial services and private health insurance at Australian Unity— including as General Manager, Health Management and Head of Health Governance.

Most recently, Ms Windsor has been involved in developing and progressing key strategic activities for the broader Australian Unity Group.

Australian Unity’s CEO of Retail Chris Yates said Ms Windsor’s appointment was testament to her first-class leadership, commercial acumen and significant industry expertise in the private health insurance sector.

“I am beyond delighted to congratulate Rebecca on her appointment as CEO and EGM,” Ms Yates said.

“For many years, Rebecca has been pivotal to the success of Australian Unity’s private health insurance business and I look forward to working with her as we progress our vision to deliver customer-centric solutions and seamless experiences for our members.”

Ms Windsor said, “I have spent most of the last two decades working across the many facets of Australia’s private health insurance sector and working on ways the system can better serve the interests of Australian Unity’s members and customers and improve sector sustainability.”

“I am incredibly privileged to take on the CEO role and look forward to leading the amazing Australian Unity team ensuring our focus remains on meeting the wellbeing needs of our customers, while transforming the way we work as a healthcare company and deliver value to our members.”

Ms Windsor commences in the role on Monday May 9.
