Australian Unity has been recognised in the 2023 Mozo Experts Choice Awards for its value Freedom Saver Account, which took out a No Strings Savings award.

The Freedom Saver Account was acknowledged for its straightforward savings options, helping Australians to meet their savings goals.

Matthew Ricker, Chief Executive Officer of Australian Unity Bank, said Australian Unity was pleased to be recognised with a Mozo Experts Choice Award amongst 184 banking products, as it aims to provide competitive deposit options for its customers.

“Our Freedom Saver Account has been developed to offer Australians an easy way to grow their savings, with no minimum deposit to achieve a high interest rate.”

Peter Marshall, Mozo Banking Expert and Awards Judge said highlighting accounts like the Freedom Saver is important as there are a large number of Australians who miss out on earning high interest rates because they simply can’t meet the conditions attached.

“It takes the complexity out of saving and helps people feel rewarded for their savings efforts no matter how frequent or small they might be.”

Australian Unity’s Freedom Saver Account has a standard interest rate of 3.75% p.a on balances up to $250,000. There are no account keeping fees or minimum deposit requirements. Withdrawals from Australian Unity’s Freedom Saver Account can be made via a linked Healthy Banking Everyday Transaction account. Funds up to $250,000 are covered under the Government Deposit Guarantee Scheme.

The annual Mozo Experts Choice Bank Account and Savings Awards are conducted by data analysts and researchers at financial comparison site mozo.com.au. For the 2023 awards, Mozo’s experts compared 184 savings products with the aim of giving awards recognition to the top few products in each category.
