Lift for Life
What is it?
Resistance training provides clear benefits for people with diabetes.
Lift for Life is a strength training program for people with or at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes
How does it work?
Start getting your strength up today with Lift for Life and we’ll pay you up to $50 on each of the three stages of the program you complete.
If you are not sure of your diabetes risk, why not take the AUSDRISK risk test to find out. If you do have risk factors, visit your GP to discuss if the Lift for Life program is suitable for you.

Are you eligible?
To access the Lift for Life program, you need to
- hold an appropriate level of private hospital cover with Australian Unity
- have held that level of cover for at least 12 months

How to claim
Once you’re ready to claim just send the receipt and certificate(s) of completion from your Lift for Life provider with a completed claim form to Australian Unity.
- $50 per person for each of the three stages of the program completed
- $150 per person per calendar year
- $300 per person lifetime limit
- a receipt and certificate of completion is required when claiming
