Australian Unity’s Specialist Disability Accommodation Fund launched in 2020 with the support and backing of Australian Unity seed capital and a number of cornerstone investors, including Australian Ethical Investment.
Since then the Fund, under the leadership of Fund Manager Jacob Edwards with team members Aston Mayer and Sarah Pass have been building out a portfolio of next generation specialist disability accommodation that maximises people’s independence and quality of life thanks to the support of a growing number of investors.
In great news, the team were named Impact Asset Owner of the Year as part of last week’s Australian Impact Investment Awards held in Sydney.
In winning the award, the Fund was recognised for its market-leading benchmark in capital allocation, distinctive investment theme and significant documented impact, thanks to Australian Unity’s social measurement, which measures and reports on the SDA Fund’s impact for stakeholders and financial returns for investors.
The difference quality SDA accommodation makes to the quality of life to people living with a disability is profound and we were thrilled to receive this important recognition.
